Serve up some ultimate 1980s summer vibes with this beautiful Vintage 1987 California Barbie Hot Dog Stand Playset! Released by Mattel as part of the iconic beach-themed "California Barbie" era, this retro food stand features a giant hot dog counter base with dripping mustard details, topped by a gorgeous pink and white striped awning canopy complete with dual "B" flags. It is a fantastic, highly detailed piece of vintage toy history that will immediately elevate any 1980s Barbie collection.

This massive playset is exceptionally complete and loaded with hard-to-find food and service accessories. It features two yellow barrel-style stools adorned with vintage Lay's, Knott's Berry Farm, and Beach Boys decals. The counter comes equipped with a built-in hot dog grill, a cash register, tongs, serving trays, cups, squeeze mustard and ketchup bottles, salt and pepper shakers, and a rotating yellow snack display tree holding cardboard snack bags (including Fritos, Lay's, and Gold Pretzels). There is plenty of food to go around with six individual hot dog trays holding double hot dogs, six cardboard fast-food boxes, three cans of 7Up, and three cans of Cherry 7Up! The back of the stand has integrated storage shelves to hold all the supplies and a drive-up telephone station. Everything your dolls need to run a successful boardwalk business is included!

This vintage playset is in excellent pre-owned condition and stands out for how incredibly thorough and complete its accessory assortment is. The plastic structure is clean and sturdy, with the pink-and-white striped awning and flag poles remaining straight and firmly attached. The decals are mostly present, colorful, and sharp—including the iconic California Barbie billboard sign and the barrel logos. All original plastic components, including the small food trays, soda cans, and utensils, are clean and intact with no bite marks or major damage. The cardboard components, such as the little snack hanging cards and burger boxes, show very minimal wear with no heavy creasing or tears. Minor, normal age-appropriate surface scuffs or slight fading may be present on the plastic from light play over the decades, but it presents beautifully for display.  Original box NOT included!
