About This Ornament
This was the first year that Hallmark produced ornaments. This 1973 Hallmark Tree Trimmer Christmas Ornament is a frosted glass ball with a silver cap and a plastic, printed sleeve featuring two Betsey Clark girls in their tattered dresses with a deer and a lamb. The one wears a scarf on her head and is petting and feeding a deer from her hand, while the other is holding a little lamb with both hands. "Betsey Clark's signature is under her feet. The clear background has silver snowflakes scattered all around the bulb and reads "CHRISTMAS 1973" under two playful lambs with pink ears. Disclaimer: As with many older glass ball ornaments, it may have developed "age spots," which is normal with older ornaments.
