The BELMONT EARLY 1900s featured only the very finest dinner ware in the early years catering to wealthy clientele.  This is an early Reed and Barton Nickel silver milk, tea or coffee 13 oz pitcher marked on the bottom with the hotel coat of arms on the front.  First class and a rare find for any collector of hotel items.  The dinner ware initially was created by Haviland France and provided through a New York City company.

The function of the pitcher is perfect, and the design shows the art Nuovo roots abstract female form.  Best guess is that this is 9108 to 1920 but please decide for yourself.  After WW I is heavy silver plated hotel ware and not by Reed and Barton.   Reed and Barton was a high-quality company designing with the likes of Frank Loyd Wright and others making thick plated hotel use items.  There are no wear through spots on the pitcher.  The handle of this pot has not been tested but shined like sterling silver.  The bottom is signed as pictured and model number is 435.  Silver soldered placing it from date of the Belmont opening in 1908 to about 1920 when heavy silver plate was used as made by Gorham and others.  The Belmont was located at 120 Park Ave at 23 stories (the tallest hotel in the world at that time) and taken down in 1939.

We will ship Fed Ex insured and well packaged.  This is a rare item and hard to find.  Offers encouraged.
