This listing is for an eye-catching silver groat from the reign of Queen Mary I of England. It was fashioned during the first year of her tenure (1553-54) & displays areas of delicious detail on both surfaces. An almost full & crack free flan help to further its appeal. However, the stand-out aspect of this charming piece is probably the design intricacy of Mary's crown which is simply exquisite. This is only my opinion.
