Scarce Antique Pressed Glass Cup Plate, LR 340, Blue Tint, c. 1835 - 1845. This cup plate is Lee-Rose #340 and it is in a light blue tinted glass color. This was classified as uncertain rarity in clear glass. I have been buying and selling cup plates forover 40 years and this is only the second example in of this cup plate in any color, that I have ever come across. This cup plate was probably manufactured at a glass company in the Philadelphia area. This cup plate has an attractive design of a sunburst surrounded by scrolls in the center.

CONDITION: The condition is very good for such and early and scarce colored glass cup plate, with a couple small chips and some tiny nicks and roughness around the rim the only excuse. There are the usual imperfections found in early flint glass such as sand, bubbles, inclusions and striations.
