Amazing vintage 1970/80s Hartnell Frog Belt from the British designer Norman Hartnell (1901-79, best known for creating royal couture for Queen Elizabeth), size L. Made in the US of genuine grain calfskin embossed to resemble alligator or frog skin. The large, heavy buckle depicts an intricately detailed, three-dimensional frog of gold-toned cast metal, signed Hartnell on the back. 41" long (including 5" buckle), 1 1/2" wide, with gold-toned metal tip and belt holder, all textured like frog skin. In excellent condition. 5 holes to customize size. A highly collectible piece from this Hartnell design era; these belts have not been in production since the 1980s.
