Description: This attractive original old antique print / plate originates from: 'Natuurlyke Historie of Uitvoerige Beschryving der Dieren, Planten en Mineraalen... Eerste Deels, Elfde Stuk' by F. Houttuyn and J. van der Burgh, published in Amsterdam 1767. (Translation: Natural history or extensive desription of animals, plants and minerals ...) This is essentially a Dutch version of 'Linnaeus Systema Naturae', enlarged, amended and with plates. Eerste deels, elfde stuk.
Artists and Engravers: Made by 'J.C. Philips' after an anonymous artist. Jan Caspar Philips (1690 – 1775), was an engraver from the Northern Netherlands.

Condition: Excellent, given age. Original folds, as issued. A small stain in the top left corner of the image. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
