Vintage Red Enamel Petit Point Powder Compact – Floral Needlework Vanity, Original Puff

Vintage red enamel powder compact featuring a beautifully worked petit point floral panel to the lid, set within a rich, deep red enamel surround. The floral decoration is finely stitched in soft pastel tones on a cream ground, creating an elegant contrast against the bold enamel border and giving the piece a refined, decorative presence. The reverse is finished in matching red enamel, with natural marbling and tonal variation that adds depth and character. Inside, the compact retains its original fitted interior, mirror, and embroidered petit point powder puff, a particularly pleasing and increasingly scarce survival. The interior presents very well and reflects the quality of manufacture. Unmarked and of foreign manufacture, typical of well-made continental pieces from the mid-20th century. Measuring 10 x 7 cm, this is a generously sized and well-proportioned compact. Overall condition is very good for its age, with only light signs of careful use.
