Sony CMT-HP7 Micro Hi-Fi Component Stereo System with Matching Sony Speakers

This Sony CMT-HP7 Micro Hi-Fi Component System is in good cosmetic condition and includes the original matching left and right Sony speakers with attached speaker wires. Please read the testing results below carefully, as this unit is being sold in partially working condition.

Included:

• Sony CMT-HP7 main stereo unit

• Matching left and right Sony speakers

• Attached speaker wires

Condition:

The stereo is in good pre-owned cosmetic condition with normal signs of age and use. Please review all photos carefully, as they are part of the description.

Testing:

• AM/FM radio has been tested and works properly.

• Both speakers produce clear, strong sound.

• The CD player successfully reads and plays discs with no playback issues.

• The CD changer/eject mechanism is faulty. After inserting a CD, the player reads and plays it correctly, but the disc will not eject. Pressing the eject button causes the mechanism to make a screeching/grinding noise while the disc remains inside.

• The cassette deck is not functioning properly. During testing, it pulled in a cassette tape but would not play or eject it correctly and damaged ("ate") the tape.

• Because of the faulty CD eject mechanism and non-working cassette deck, this stereo is being sold as partially working and may require repair or servicing.

Features:

• Sony CMT-HP7 Micro Hi-Fi Component System

• AM/FM digital tuner

• 5-disc CD changer

• Cassette deck

• Digital display

• Preset radio stations

• Headphone output

• Matching Sony bookshelf speakers included

This is a great candidate for someone looking for a working radio stereo, a repair project, replacement speakers, or a parts unit. The radio and speakers perform well, and the CD player reads and plays discs correctly, but the CD changer/eject mechanism and cassette deck require repair.

Please review all photos and read the full description before purchasing. The item will be carefully packaged and shipped promptly.
