Vintage Japanese Paper Lantern
Measures ~19" top to bottom.
It's in mostly very good condition, but does have some tearing to the paper near the top. The wire frame remains intact.
Pagoda/Castle shaped, featuring some lovely hand painted flowers and architecture.
Tassels and strings adorn the circumference.
There is a pair of tassels hanging at the top that I believe are meant to hang below, but were never fastened there.
The Kanji on the paper inside reads "Sunlight Tower" and is likely associated with Nikko in Tochigi Prefecture.
There is a tag on cardstock-like material with the original shop's name:
