WWI Propaganda Handkerchief 

A good example of a cotton handkerchief dating from the WWI era. It has patriotic French imagery, Allied flags, and portraits of allied leaders featuring King George V, President Poincaré, Tsar Nicholas II and King Albert I, surrounding the lyrics to the French national anthem “La Marseillaise”.

It is in good condition for its age with no major damages or tears. The colours are bright and vibrant and it displays well. There are some minor surface spots and stains but nothing detrimental or untoward.
