A striking pair of unusual wooden slat pendant lampshades with a classic Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern aesthetic. Constructed from precision-cut plywood with a warm wood veneer finish, they create a beautiful sculptural "UFO" or sunburst effect when viewed from any angle.

I have been unable to identify the designer or manufacturer, so they are being sold as unbranded. While they have a strong Mid-Century Modern influence, they may be a later designer or studio-produced piece rather than an original mid-century example.

Each shade measures approximately 46 cm in diameter. The centre aperture measures approximately 40 mm, so please check compatibility with your existing light fitting. They may require a suitable pendant fitting or spider/gallery fitting depending on your installation.

Both shades are in good pre-loved condition with light age-related wear and would benefit from a gentle polish. I can find no breaks or repairs. They are well engineered but, like many plywood slat shades, should be handled with care when not installed as the individual slats can be vulnerable to damage if knocked.

An unusual and eye-catching pair, ideal for Mid-Century Modern, Scandinavian, Danish Modern or contemporary interiors.

Posting I use recycled boxes and eco bubble wrap and brown paper I will pack well I do not charge for this - will combine postage - however this is combined on weight and size Items sent via a Royal mail service. I will update when the item has been sent
