Up for sale is a beautiful set of 6 antique Japanese Akae (crimson red) Kutani overglaze enamel porcelain teacups and matching saucers. These pieces feature exceptional hand-painted detailing, showcasing vibrant wild fowl/birds (pheasants or ducks) among rich autumnal floral patterns, complete with traditional red and gilt-decorated angular handles.

CONDITION REPORT

This set is being sold as a single lot reflecting specific condition differences between the cups and saucers:

Teacups (6 total): All 6 cups are in very good antique condition with no chips, cracks, or structural hairlines. There is only minimal, age-appropriate wear to the gilding. Saucers (6 total): 1 saucer is in pristine condition with no damage. The other 5 saucers have small, minor chips along their delicate scalloped edges. Please review all accompanying high-resolution photographs to evaluate the close-up condition of the saucer edges.

These are delicate, historic overglaze hand-painted porcelain pieces. They are strictly NOT safe for dishwasher or microwave use. Hand wash carefully in warm water only.
