Up for sale is a finely detailed antique Japanese pocket shrine (Kaichubutsu) from the Meiji Period.
It features a exquisitely hand-carved miniature statue of Sho-Kannon (Avalokiteshvara) housed inside a traditional black lacquered shrine (Zushi).
Statue Details: The carving of the Buddha statue is exceptionally intricate and refined. The statue is securely fixed inside the enclosure/case.
Condition:
Statue: Excellent antique condition with no noticeable damage or scratches.
Zushi (Shrine Case): Shows signs of age with some lacquer flaking/peeling at the bottom. Please refer to the photos for detailed condition.
