Description
Glossy lava glazed vase by West German pottery house Carstens Tonnieshof, likely from the 1960s/70s. Deep brown base colour with gilted lip and speckled white and yellow lava glaze drip. Marked with brand symbol and numbered 549-23 to base.

Condition
Excellent vintage condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs. Has a few small lumpy production faults to lip, as pictured. Gilting has faded  lightly on lip and there are some light surface scratches to exterior of base, commensurate with age and use.
