Here is a vintage roofers hammer with axe by W C & C , [ William C & Co.,] made in New York USA, has a number but illegible, total length is 16" and weighs 3 lb, 3 1/2" edge opposing the hammer, the head is 7 1/2" long , possibly 19th century, new shaft fitted, still a very sound item.
