Original British Army Royal Logistic Corps (RLC) ladies' mess dress ensemble comprising jacket, waistcoat, satin cummerbund and matching long skirt. Privately tailored by John Palomi for HM Forces and made to a high standard in traditional black barathea wool with dark navy velvet collar and cuffs, gold piping and matching gold shoulder cords.
The jacket features Royal Logistic Corps buttons and Sergeant's rank insignia.The cummerbund retains its original John Palomylites tailor's label from BFPO 53, Cyprus.
The skirt is made from a different weight fabric to the jacket and waistcoat but was acquired together from the original owner and is believed to have been worn as part of the same mess dress ensemble.
Cummerband length 37 inches with 3.5 inches of velcro for adjustment. Skirt waist 30 inches, back length 40 inches.
Waistcoat pit to pit 18.5 inches, back length 18 inches. Jacket pit to pit 20 inches when front edges are touching. Back length centre 20 inches. Sleeve length, shoulder to cuff 22.5 inches.
