This  scarce card and  is one in a series of  50 cards issued in Canada by  the  IMPERIAL  Tobacco Company of Canada.  One card was inserted with their packs of Cigarettes during 1925.   The Series is entitled “How To Play Golf” and is listed in Burdicks American Card Catalogue as series C17.    Each card depicts a photo image of a Golf Personality of the time depicting an instructional lesson on an aspect of the game.   The back features a lesson relating to the image on the front with other instructional pointers about the game.  The particular one is #11 from the series and Features the Golfer Arthur G Havers on the front.   Here is some information about Mr Havers that I found on the internet: Arthur Havers (born 1898 in Norwich) was an English golfer who won the 1923 Open Championship at Royal Troon (Beating the American Walter Hagen by one stroke). He had first qualified for the Open in 1914 at the age of sixteen. He played in the Ryder Cup in 1927, 1931 and 1933.  The card measures 2 5/8 inches by 1 ½ inches approximately. The card does have some corner & edge wear, but is free from major creases.  I have scanned the cards front and back fairly large for you to be able to judge condition for yourself.  THESE CARDS WERE NEVER ISSUED IN THE  U.S.A.  and are scarce.  Due to the lower population in Canada than in the US,  print runs in Canada were much smaller compared with American Cards.
