1949 Mercury Coupe – Flathead V8 – Air Ride 

Up for sale is my 1949 Mercury Coupe, a genuine uncut Merc that’s becoming harder and harder to find.

Powered by a rebuilt 255ci Flathead V8 with the original 3-speed manual “3 on the tree” gearbox. Converted to 12 volts with a PowerGen charging system, and all gauges work correctly via a voltage reducer.

Fitted with:

✅ Air ride suspension on all four corners (individually adjustable)

✅ 3-branch manifolds

✅ Dual exhausts with Speed Tone mufflers

✅ Firestone wide whitewall tyres

✅ Original interior and seat covers

✅ Clean body and chassis

✅ Repainted in Midnight Blue

Sounds absolutely incredible through the dual exhaust system – that classic Flathead rumble that turns heads everywhere.

A reliable, turn-key car that’s comfortable to drive and happy on longer journeys. Not many uncut ’49 Mercs around now.
