Tough to pin down the design style- likely Arts and Crafts and/or early Art Deco?

Marked with "471 A"  on the polished inside of the ends.

There is another marking "24" at the reverse bottom of one of the ends.

There may be another number (maybe a reference to the 13-24 inch size) but that number is obscured by some roughness in the metal on the inside of one of the ends.

Weighing close to three pounds this book rack provides  stable display for even hard cover volumes.
