This is a fully restored Juliette C-010A 8-track player/home deck.  I record 8-tracks for bands and record labels, so I learned to work on players to keep mine running.  I fix players for people sparingly as well, although the majority of my time is spent making tapes.

This was a hunk of junk when I first got it. It appeared to have a manufacturing defect from the get-go in the circuitry, and a previous owner tried some rewiring to fix it. It appeared the circuit was wired up to only send the left channel through both right and left outputs, so essentially it was working in mono.

I bought another identical unit that was correct and figured out how to rewire this unit like it should have been from the get-go, adding in the missing circuitry components.  In the process, I replaced all electrolytic capacitors with new Nichicon caps. I also replaced many of the ceramic and mylar capacitors in the audio path with polystyrene caps.

The head bracket was broken, so I replaced it with a new 3D printed bracket, then realigned the head.  I also did all the basic maintenance on the unit, lubricating all moving parts, cleaning and demagnitizing the head, replaced the belt, cleaned the inside, sanded the contacts, and used DeoxIT on the linear slide pots.

I tested many tapes in this unit with both the regular rear RCA outs and the headphone jack as well.  It sounds great!  Track change works great!  Lights all work!  It's an interesting deck.  It has a "quad" option, which essentially takes the normal left and right channels, reverses them, and sends that through the additional rear outputs for a makeshift surround sound (per Barry's 8-track Repair... RIP). 

I was unable to find any service/owner's manual info for the unit unfortunately, but I'll send a list of everything done on the unit.
