Up for sale is a beautifully preserved, highly collectible antique German all-bisque Mignonette pocket doll, manufactured by the renowned firm Johannes Daniel Kestner (JDK). The back of her head is clearly incised with the coveted mold number 208 and the size fraction 0 1/2. This exquisite cabinet-sized example features a solid, one-piece molded head and torso (stationary neck) with its original, fully functioning blue glass sleep eyes that open and close smoothly when tilted. She retains her original five-piece bisque body configuration and a delicate mohair wig. Her legs are exceptionally desirable, featuring molded white stockings accented with factory-painted blue garter bands and brown single-strap Mary Jane shoes.
Condition Report: Excellent antique condition. The bisque is entirely free of hairline cracks, chips, or restorations. The incised markings on the lower back of the cranium are visible. Eyes: Original blue glass sleep eyes are fully intact, bright, and the internal rocker weighted mechanism functions perfectly.
Limbs: All loop joints are secure. The porcelain limb sockets are clean with no breaks or repaired digits. The painted blue garter bands and brown shoes retain strong, authentic color.
