Original December 1963 commemorative cover celebrating the first flight of the Lockheed C-141 Starlifter, one of the U.S. Air Force’s most important military transport aircraft. The cachet features the C-141 Starlifter with “First Flight December, 1963” and was mailed from Marietta, Georgia, home of Lockheed’s production facility.
Postmarked December 17, 1963, with additional Dobbins Air Force Base transit/cachet markings on the reverse. Addressed to a Lockheed Aircraft Corporation employee in Burbank, California, adding to the aviation and aerospace history interest of the piece.
The envelope remains sealed and unopened. Light age-related wear, toning, and handling marks are present consistent with storage and mailing history. Please review all photographs for condition details.
