Vintage 1947 Qantas Empire Airways commemorative airmail cover celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the first Qantas Air Mail Service (1922–1947). This attractive cover marks the First Regular Australian Through Air Mail Service from London to Sydney and features colorful Qantas aviation graphics, period British postage stamps, and Sydney G.P.O. Air Mail arrival markings.

Addressed to Mr. Courtland S. Gross, Vice-President & General Manager of Lockheed Aircraft Corporation, care of Qantas Empire Airways Limited in Sydney, New South Wales. The reverse bears a Sydney G.P.O. Air Mail arrival postmark dated 6 November 1947 and a Qantas winged emblem on the flap.

An excellent piece of early commercial aviation and Qantas history, ideal for collectors of first flight covers, airline memorabilia, and Australian postal history.
