New Release A08022 Airfix 1:72nd Scale Junkers Ju52/3mg4e Model Kit.

Starting life as civilian aircraft, the Junkers 52 series of aircraft served in multiple roles throughout the 1903s and 1940s and it was used as a bomber during the Spanish Civil War. However, with Germany's continuing development of purpose built bomber designs, the aging Ju52 was relegated to more practical roles. It became the workhorse of the Luftwaffe, mainly as a transport aircraft, but also in various other roles such as paratroop/assault deployment, minesweeper and military ambulance aircraft. 

Since WWI, Hugo Junkers had utilised the strength offered by corrugated skin in many of his aircraft designs, which, alongside the Ju52's tri-motor arrangement gave the aircraft its iconic look.

This model makes up into three different versions, the first is aircraft KM+BX of 4./KGrzbV 500. Plescau-West, Russia, March 1942

and the second is aircraft VB+IN of Transportstaffel/II, Fliegerkorps, Russia, 1941 

and the third is aircraft CA+JY of 1./KGrzbV 102, Neumunster, Germany, April 1940.

 

 

This makes up into a very nice little model and is listed as skill three so is not a suitable kit for beginners.
