This is a PAIR of antique or vintage framed portraits of George and Martha Washington, made in Germany. I don't know date of production. The image of George appears to be signed Smith. I can't tell if they are printed or painted images though George looks like possibly painted and has a signature. As they are under glass that can't be removed without damaging them I will leave it a bit of a mystery. Excellent condition nicely etched frames. This came from an individual who was 90 this year, who had a very large collection and love of silhouettes and miniatures. She started her collecting many years ago.

Selling as a pair due to they being a historical couple. Very nice addition to a historical display, miniature collection etc. Wonderful portraits of our first president and first lady.
