Francois was part of the Coro brand of jewelry. He was a Coro designer who joined the company in 1937 and began creating his own line under the Francois name in 1938. The François line was considered one of Coro’s earliest couturier (designer) lines, alongside Coro Craft, and was aimed at a higher-end market
