This is for a beautiful Jones type folding pocket entomologists microscope dating to the very early 1800s It is lacquered brass with an Ebony handle and an adjustable sliding pin with little steel clamp. This sliding clamp is clever because it has a separate thin piece underneath, slightly curved so that you can tighten it just enough to be able to slide whatever you are viewing into focus smoothly without it being jerky as it would be if you were just clamping onto one piece. It folds in on itself when not in use and the pin can come out so it can all be stored away for transit. It is marked 22 at the pivot, i am guessing that's the magnification. It is in excellent condition with no damage to it anywhere, everything is as it should be and there is very little wear at all. It measures roughly 90mm by 80mm when set up.
