Organization a GERMAN -AMERICAN SINGING SOCIETY Obv. Lyre (Harp) initials in center on the banner G.S.K.REv. Large eagle simliar to design used by Dr. Louis Feuchtwanger on one & three cent tokens struck in the Hard Times period 1837 At base small initials S. H. Q. This was for the engraver/medalsit Samuel H. Quint & Sons located at 15 South 4th St. & later at 4th & Chestnut. Samuel Quint was born 1821 died 1897. Note: Company was in buisness thru the 1950's. See enclosed scans of his business.Note: One was listed several months ago on e bay at $800.00 and sold to best offer. This one is just as nice. In my collection since 1968 . Medal: Alum. Size 24mm.
