He builds a raft to navigate treacherous river rapids, survives an attack by another warrior hiding in a tree, and eventually washes ashore near a slave-trading village. Mistaking him for a champion because he carries the weapons of the dead slave hunters, the villagers reward him with a beautiful local woman. She reveals that the village chief has recently captured a white-skinned girl—leaving Korak to wonder if the captive is his missing love, Meriem.
2. "Lost on Venus"

- Plot: This backup story is an Edgar Rice Burroughs adaptation featuring Carson Napier. After escaping a death chamber, Carson hears a woman's screams and finds a princess being attacked by the evil Moosko. Carson chokes Moosko to death, takes his ring, disguises himself and the princess in cloaks, and attempts to slip past the castle guards at the main gate. [
