"Singer Featherweight"
~ 221K ~
This Singer 221K Featherweight sewing machine is said to be the finest Singer ever produced.
This model is the blue badged Centennial edition.
Please be aware that the machine is wired for UK voltage and it will need to be checked and PAT tested by a qualified electrician if you intend to use it.
The machine has retained much of its' black paint and gilt work, however, there are some chips to the balance wheel, as well as the scratches, scuffs, use and wear marks.
I have tried to show the condition in the photographs.
The chrome work has retained much its' original finish and is still quite bright.
The machine works and runs when the foot controller is used.
We haven't tried to sew with the machine.
The light bulb is working and the bobbin case is present.
It has its' rubber feet and the machine sits flat.
The serial number is EG443683 dating it to March 1951.
The machine has its' case and internal side tray with instruction book and keys.
The handle is well attached and the catches work well, but, it has scuffs, dings and marks.
