The GretagMacbeth iCColor is a professional automatic spectral chart reader designed for fast and accurate ICC profile creation. Unlike manual strip-reading instruments, iCColor automatically scans complete test charts, significantly reducing profiling time while improving repeatability.

All testing was performed on Windows 10 using the included Keyspan USB adapter.
Successfully tested with GretagMacbeth ProfileMaker 5 – MeasureTool (no passwords, licenses or hardware dongles required).
Measurement data can be exported as TXT or CXF (.cxf) for use with virtually any ICC profiling software.
ProfileMaker's–MeasureTool may also run on Windows 11 with "Smart App Control" disabled.
Since BCRA ceramic reference tiles cannot be measured with this type of instrument, we verified its accuracy by comparison.
After scanning a TC2.83 chart (288 patches in about 2–3 minutes), we measured the same patches using a trusted handheld spectrophotometer. The resulting LAB values were remarkably close, confirming excellent measurement accuracy.
