1996 Pokemon Japanese Promo Pikachu - Corocoro Comic November 1996 | Misprint “Ken Sugimori” | PSA 2 | The World’s First Pokemon Card

This is a listing for 1 (one) card.

This Pikachu promo card was included as a bonus insert in the November 1996 issue of CoroCoro Comic magazine. While not widely known, this card is considered to have been released before the Base Set No Rarity Symbol cards — making it widely regarded as the world’s oldest Pokemon card ever printed.

This card features a notable misprint: the illustrator credit reads “Ken Sugimori” instead of the correct name.

As with all cards from this era, Near Mint and Gem Mint copies are extremely scarce. The overwhelming majority of surviving copies show significant wear, making high-grade examples virtually impossible to find.

This is an exceptionally rare piece of Pokemon history — highly sought after by serious collectors worldwide — and is expected to continue appreciating in value. A must-have for any collection or investment portfolio.
