Beautiful spoon from Egypt dating back to years around 1900 featuring full figural handle shaped as a beautiful side view of alligator crocodile. Bowl shows scene of Egyptian Pyramids and Sphinx (face of a man and body of lion) ancient stone structures in the forefront. Measures 5-3/8” (136 mm) long, weighs 17.2 grams and condition is excellent though cast method of making this spoon is evident. On the back it has silver hallmarks for Egyptian silver makers. This type of spoons were made and marked 800 which would be typical for European sterling silver.
