When RJ Reynolds Tobacco sponsored the NHRA drag race series. Tjat sponsorship included a special Incitation race. To make this race special RJR decided to qualiy both Top Fuel and Nitro Funny car and have them race each other in eliminations! Itt only happened for one year.
