Resinbausatz zu einem deutschen Sportflugzeugprojekt, der    Gotha P.9001     im Maßstab 1/72 von Bird Models (2026). Der Bausatz besteht aus 14  Resinteilen, 1 Vacukanzel, 1 Foto vom gebauten Modell sowie einer detailliert beschriebenen deutsch - englischen Montageanweisung, keine Decals enthalten. Die Resinteile können Blasen und Angüsse aufweisen, der Anteil ist jedoch gering.

Die Gotha P.9001 war ein experimentelles Projekt für ein leichtes Sport- bzw. Schulflugzeug, das im Umfeld der zivilen und halbmilitärischen Luftfahrtentwicklung der späten 1930er- und frühen 1940er-Jahre entstand. In dieser Phase versuchte die Gothaer Waggonfabrik, neben militärischen Mustern auch kleinere Flugzeuge für Ausbildung, Freizeitflug und Verbindungsaufgaben zu konzipieren. Die P.9001 ist ausschließlich als Projektstudie überliefert, konkrete technische Daten, eine genauere Bauausführung oder gar ein Prototyp wurden nicht mehr erstellt. Vermutlich entstand die P.9001 auf Basis der Gotha Go 149.

Bekannt ist, dass die Maschine für bis zu 2 Personen ausgelegt war und über eine komplett verglaste Kabinenhaube verfügen sollte. Das Fahrwerk war starr und verkleidet und sollte nicht einziehbar sein. Als Motor war vermutlich ein Argus AS-10c vorgesehen, wie er in vielen Schulmustern Verwendung fand.

The Gotha P.9001 was an experimental project for a light sport and training aircraft, developed within the context of civil and semi-military aviation efforts in the late 1930s and early 1940s. During this period, the Gothaer Waggonfabrik sought not only to produce military aircraft but also to design smaller planes for pilot training, recreational flying, and liaison duties. The P.9001 is documented solely as a design study; no detailed technical specifications, finalized construction plans, or prototype were ever produced. It was likely developed on the basis of the Gotha Go 149.

It is known that the aircraft was intended to accommodate up to two people and was to feature a fully glazed canopy. The landing gear was fixed and faired, not retractable. The planned engine was most likely an Argus AS 10C, a powerplant commonly used in many training aircraft of the time.
