This complete vintage 1909 comic postcard set featured in image_2.png and image_3.png includes five distinct cards starring anthropomorphic opossums. The illustrations are created by artist Erite and copyrighted by L. Sulzer. The set contains a variety of humorous themes including a possum stuck in a tree avoided by a bulldog, a stout possum swinging a golf club, a single possum peeking from a hollow tree trunk, a romantic couple embracing on a branch in front of a giant full moon, and a possum at a desk writing a letter with a quill. Four of the postcards are clean and unposted, while the writing scene postcard features a handwritten pencil message on the reverse side addressed to Frederick McCarthy in Wisconsin, complete with a green one-cent stamp.
