We were required by our Water District to upgrade to a WIFI controller, otherwise would not be selling. Unit provides 3 cycles , watering based on Odd/even days, days of the week or Interval. The unit also supports the addition of a rain sensor - Personally I used and continue to use the Irratrol wireless sensor. The unit also requires 2 AA batteries as a backup.
