These two Mayer China 6-1/2" x 4-3/4" bowls or deep dishes, made circa 1927-1934, are from the La Grande Hotel, which was located in La Grande, Oregon. They are both are in very good condition, with no chips, cracks, crazing, discoloration, or use wear, and the graphics are clear and bright. They each have a tiny manufacturing finish flaw on the reverse, as shown. The pattern is unknown, with one red and 2 green stripes on the rim. The graphics read 'La Grande Hotel, La Grande Oregon, Your Home While Here'. The back stamp reads 'Mayer China, ERG. A 19'. The hotel had it's formal opening on Nov. 18th, 1927. It was six stories tall, with 106 rooms. It was only open for 7 years, closing in 1934, and was demolished in 1940.
