Product Description:

Chain sling is a convenient lifting tool, formed with lifting ring and other Accessories. It can be used as one leg choker chain sling when the hook is inside the link, but the working load will be reduced 20%. The ratio between usage load and breaking load is 1:2. Check hooks before using:

1. The WLL should be clearly marked.

2. The safety catch should be in place and functioning correctly.

3. The hook should be checked for any distortion, cracking and excessive wear or corrosion.The wear on the bearing surface of the hook should not exceed 8% of the nominal dimension.

4. Check that the opening of the hook is within the manufacturers parameters. If the hook is opened excessively it is a sign that it has been point loaded or overloaded.

5. Moving parts such as release cams should be checked for free movement.

6. If the hook is a ball bearing swivel hook check that the hook is swivelling freely and that the bearing is not making any unusual noises. Unusual noises are often a sign of bearing fatigue or bearing failure.

7. If the hook has a threaded machined shank ensure that the thread is in good order and that the nut is turning freely on the thread

Usage of chain:

1.Must be used in the range of its rated loading;

2.Chain in a distorted, reversed and entangled state are not permitted to use;

3.Objects must hang on the central of the hook, the edge of the hook shall not be hung in. The heavy objects should not be hung in hook for a long time;

4.If one of the following things appears, chain slings should be stopped using immediately:

A. Diameter damaged 10% of the original;

B. Chain appears cracks, bending, distorting or surface damage ( phenomenon );

C. Chain’s permanent elongation exceed 5% of the original length.

According to the provisions of the safe operation, in addition to routine inspection, there must be a professional personal check every certain period of time. Test results should be recorded. Depending on the specific use of rigging, inspection interval can be adjusted. The following situations can lead to increased rope, such as frequent use, increased wear, high temperature impact, corrosion and other factors damage. Users should regularly check the ropes of visual damage, including hidden in stains under injury that could threaten the safe use of rigging.
