AUSTRIA 1907 35H REGISTERED BANKING MAIL COVER 'NIEDERÖSTERREICHISCHE ESCOMPTE' WIEN TO BERLIN GERMANY
1907 (May 3), Registered Bank Cover from Vienna, Austria to Berlin, Germany. Franked with a single 1904 35h green Emperor Franz Joseph I definitive adhesive featuring protective diagonal varnish bars. The stamp is tied to the upper right corner by a strike of the circular WIEN / 3.5.07 / 8-9N town dispatch postmark. The front panel bears a printed financial corporate cornerstone header for the Niederösterreichische Escompte-Gesellschaft, under an official imperial double-headed eagle emblem. It features a complete yellow-and-black registration label inscribed R / WIEN 1 / Briefaufgabe / No. 7124 / Tb. 1/1, a purple Einschreiben handstamp, and a blue sorting crayon number (444). The reverse panel features a printed corporate logo backstamp matching the front header, a brown wax security seal embossed with the bank's coat of arms, a circular BERLIN N.W. / -4.5.07.1-2N transit mark, and a circular CHARLOTTENBURG / 5 / 4/5 / 07 / 7-8N arrival datestamp. Addressed in commercial script to Chemische Werke vorm. Dr. Heino Byk, Berlin N.W. / Charlottenburg GERMANY. The envelope is in a sound and intact state of preservation.
This commercial banking cover records a transaction linking the financial sector of Vienna to Berlin's turn-of-the-century chemical industry. Dispatched from the Niederösterreichische Escompte-Gesellschaft (Lower Austrian Discount Company), the cover tracks a documented transfer. The recipient, the Chemische Werke vorm. Dr. Heino Byk, was a producer of pharmaceutical and industrial chemicals, including specialized lighting chemicals and medical compounds. The reverse features an intact bank wax seal alongside multiple transit cancels, providing a record of corporate logistics across the Austro-German border.

SHIPPING
Shipping is by regular mail $1.99 for Canada and USA and $2.99 for rest of the world. This shipping rate is for up to 3 items. For 4-6 lots it is an additional $1 and for every multiple of 3 lots beyond 6 it will be an additional $1. If a buyer has bought multiple lots he/she may elect to have them sent as multiple shipments by regular mail with each shipment not exceeding $100. Please note that in some cases the shipping may be slightly higher due to the fact that the item is oversize. If it has to be mailed in a 8.5 x 11 size envelope the shipping rate is an additional $1 then the quoted rates. All shipments valued over $100 including shipping will be sent by Registered mail for an additional $12 to the regular mail rate total. The maximum amount per shipment is $500 (including shipping). Any purchases higher than this total amount will be invoiced separately and paid for and shipped separately. Any additional items sent separately will be at a shipping cost calculated on the same basis as the first shipment. Any single item valued at over $250 or multiple items shipped together valued over $700 sent outside of the USA or Canada are to be sent by expedited mail (signature option) exact shipping costs to be determined but please expect it to be in excess of $60. These shipping requirements are not negotiable and are based on the current eBay and Paypal policy which provides no seller protection for fraud or theft above these amounts. For the following countries all shipments valued at over $60 may be sent by Registered mail unless you are a repeat customer. These currently include Mexico, Romania, Russia, China, Brazil, Israel, Turkey Thailand and any other country that the seller at his sole discretion determines to be high risk. Please note that for Registered mail we actually charge significantly below our cost for shipping.
Please note that in an auction items may start at a very low price and may be sold at prices that may considerably exceed the original starting bid. For the purposes of calculation of shipping costs the final cost of the item will be used to calculate the shipping rate and method of shipping NOT the original shipping cost specified in the listing.

SHIPPING TIME
All items are sent within 5 business days of receipt of payment. It then takes approximately 1-2 weeks (sometimes longer) for the postal system to make it’s delivery. If you receive a notice from eBay stating that the item has been shipped it may not be correct. Please look at your payment date and add 5 business days and contact us only if your item has not been received 2 weeks from this date.
