A fantastic vintage photo of a 1940s American Airlines Douglas DC-3 parked at the historic Grand Central Air Terminal in Glendale. The original photo dates to the 40s but I believe this is a copy made around the 70s. I purchased a set of 20+ Grand Central Terminal photos from the estate of a Disney employee, all of similar time period, various subjects and moments in the airport's history. In 1961, Walt Disney purchased a large portion of the land around the GCAT to establish what would become the Walt Disney Imagineering workshop. I imagine this set of historical photos was printed after that, photographed from the originals.
