Description:
Offered here is a lot of 50 vintage Japanese amusement tokens, all marked “OLYMPIA” with the image of a lion standing on its hind legs, holding a sword. These bronze tokens were used in Olympia arcade and game machines in Japan during the mid-20th century.
Each token features the same design on both sides:
Lion with sword (heraldic style)
“OLYMPIA” in raised lettering above and below the image
Two five-pointed stars flanking the lion
These tokens are sometimes collected for their design and connection to the golden age of Japanese arcades, or repurposed in jewelry, crafts, or historical displays.
