Antique 1900 Keystone Stereoviews – Lot of 2 – Comic Christmas Burglars – Early “Home Alone” Style Humor
Up for auction is a pair of original Keystone View Company stereoview cards, copyrighted 1900, that tell a humorous Christmas story through staged photography — almost like an early version of Home Alone. These rare holiday stereoviews show two burglars spotting and then raiding a newlywed couple’s Christmas gifts.
No. 10415 (a) – “The Newlywed’s First Christmas.”
Two burglars peek through the lace-draped window, spying on a lavishly decorated Christmas tree filled with labeled gifts. The scene captures the moment before the mischief begins.
No. 10116 (b) – “Too Bad We Can’t Take the Tree and House along.”
The burglars have now broken in and hilariously donned some of the newlyweds’ gifts — hats, coats, and accessories — as they stand beside the looted tree. A comical early-1900s photographic gag scene.

Both cards are in good antique condition.
Typical light cupping (common in stereoviews).
Minor handling wear; images remain sharp and clear with very good contrast.
Clean gray mounts, with only minor age wear on reverse (see photos).
Standard stereoview format: approx. 7" x 3.5" each.
These are excellent examples of Keystone’s comic genre stereoviews, which staged everyday (and mischievous) scenes for entertainment. The burglars sneaking in and then trying on the newlyweds’ gifts is pure slapstick comedy — very much in the spirit of what modern audiences know from films like Home Alone.
