The Moroccan Berber Beni Mellal from the high mountain of morocco is known for their famous handmade azilal rug with their abstract design and symbols. We love them on our floors, indoors and outside, and on our walls. Hung well, they are works of art, creators of atmosphere and conversation pieces. 

The women work from the memory of their ancestors and great grand mothers who teach them how to do the knots and weaving and is a lesson for the future generation. The symbols have meaning for the designer's culture. Wool is the most frequent material used. Many Berber families earn their primary income from building-up carpets manually and selling them in local markets, and to tourists. 

This blanket has been cleaned professionally and is still in very good condition.
