Robert Motherwell 1983 Albright Knox Exhibition Catalog 1st Edition
Abstract Expressionism • First Edition

Robert Motherwell was published in conjunction with the 1983 exhibition at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, one of America's leading institutions for modern and contemporary art. This substantial catalog examines the work of Robert Motherwell, a central figure in the Abstract Expressionist movement whose paintings, prints, and collages helped shape postwar American art. Richly illustrated and thoughtfully produced by Abbeville Press, the volume documents a significant period in Motherwell scholarship and remains an excellent reference for collectors, students, and admirers of twentieth-century art. A desirable early exhibition catalog devoted to one of the movement's most influential artists.

Very Good condition. Covers remain clean and attractive with light signs of storage and handling. Slight bumps are present at the corners, along with a small bump to the rear edge. Some light surface soil is visible along the page edges from storage. Binding remains tight and secure, and the interior pages are clean and unmarked. A solid, highly presentable copy.
