VTG Sterling Inlay Earrings Spiderweb Turquoise Coral O. Whitethorne Navajo
Here's an absolutely outstanding pair of larger sterling silver dangle earrings with two sections. Each section features gemstones that have been set using a cobblestone inlay technique which gives the stones a bit of a 3D look to them. The bottom section has both blue and greenish spiderweb turquoise pieces, along with coral, lapis lazuli and gold-lip mussel shell. The top rectangular piece has two pieces of coral. The top and bottom are connected via jump rings to allow the bottom section to move freely. The bottom sections use identical sequences of stone placement; however, the sizes and lengths differ from one to the other.
Please see photos and condition description.
They are 3/4" at their widest, and are 3 1/2" tall from top to bottom.
The top coral section is 1/2" wide and 5/8" tall.
Together, the pair weighs 31.5 g.
The artist etched her hallmark on the back, "Olivia Whitethorne", a Navajo artisan. She sometimes collaborated with her husband, Hank.
