We are excited to have just acquired the collection of Robert "Bob" L. Fox of Oshkosh, Wisconsin! Bob is well-known in the Wisconsin mineral scene where he has been collecting minerals, books, and mining memorabilia for over fifty years. He is an absolute gentleman and his kindness to local collectors and extensive knowledge of upper Midwest minerals are well-known. Now in his mid 80's, he is retired from a 40+ year career as an engineer (retiring as corporate safety director) of the well-known Oshkosh Corporation, a global leader in specialty vehicles. He was also a bookseller for many years, specializing in literature on the mining and mineral history of the upper Midwest. We recently acquired Bob's collection, specializing in minerals from the state of Wisconsin, and will be offering specimens here on eBay in the coming weeks and months. Each one of Bob's specimens comes with a detailed typed label and collection number, and many have additional tags from prior owners. Bob's meticulous attention to provenance makes these unusual and unique upper Midwest mineral specimens all the more interesting! Stay tuned for more!
