This is the first book in the American Library line of comics from 1943 during World War II. It chronicles the Doolittle Raid, a daring mission where American planes bombed Tokyo shortly after the attack on Pearl Harbor. Lawson's account provides a vivid, personal perspective on the raid and the challenges faced by the pilots and crew.

This is a very rare comic and is one of the first precursors to lines like Classics Illustrated.

Is in solid lower mid grade condition with bright colors on the painted cover, great interiors and is complete and attached (these books were manufactured with one staple to save metal during the war). Has some general wear including ticks, creases, a small tear and edge wear, a name written in pencil on the back subscription box, and has not been pressed or cleaned. See photos for details.
