Classic Zeiss Ikon Contax IIIA 35mm rangefinder camera with Carl Zeiss Sonnar 50mm lens - a lens described as "of truly superb quality" [1].

The camera was serviced in March 2012. The shutter fires at all speeds. The B-setting works although the speed selection dial has to be set just beyond the B-setting mark. As is usual with cameras of this age the meter does not function.

Please see the photographs for its condition and some example photos taken with the camera in 2011, in 2013 and, the last time it was used with film, in 2015. It has been stored protected from dust since then.

The quality and resolution of the lens can be seen in the photo of the fishing boat and the enlargement of a small section showing the mast head.

Includes a case in nice condition, a lens hood and a yellow filter.

(As this is a private sale there is no guarantee or warranty on the items).

The Contax IIIA was in production from 1953 to 1962 [1].
